Robin Ann Duncan, 68, of Schodack passed away on May 4, 2026, at St. Peter's Hospital in Albany with her family cheering her on. Until the end she was the big sister and boss of "Everything is okay here."

Robin (Hoffman) Duncan was born on April 14, 1958, in Albany, daughter of Robert "Shorty" (Bev) Hoffman and Ann Marie "Cookie" (Jack) Ray. She graduated from Cardinal McCloskey and worked for Solomon and Solomon Law Firm in Albany for 30 years until her retirement in 2025. On December 31, 1993, she was united in Marriage with Harry Duncan for 32 years. Together they enjoyed summers at their family camp in Sacandaga and traveling to the Big E in Massachusetts in the fall.

Robin was a gear head from a very young age; many weekends you could find her at the local dirt tracks supporting her son John Rivers and many other locals. She loved to power shop. Every year in November she had a sister/granddaughter day. On Black Friday she went to Cape Cod with her mom Cookie for a four-day power shopping trip. Family was important to her. For the last 40 plus years Robin would invade Speculator, NY to meet all of her family and friends for a week long vacation. Robin was the current president of the South Schodack Fire Company and was a member of the Hudson Mohawk Ladies Auxiliary.

Survivors include her husband Harry Duncan; son, John Rivers, Jr.; siblings, Kim Hoffman, Jackie Taylor, Diane Lamphear, Bob (Jeanette) Hoffman, Ken (Stephanie) Hoffman, and George (Colette) Hoffman; grandchildren, Elizabeth Rivers and Silas Rivers; nieces and nephews, Antonette Spallane (Brandon Slater), Jessica Lamphear, Maxine Hoffman, Paige Hoffman, Danny Hoffman, Shelby (Kyle) Brown, James (Carrie) Hoffman, George Hoffman, Jr., Emma Hoffman, Phoebe (PBJ) Brooks-Hoffman, Walker Russell, Dakota Russell; great nieces and nephew; Sophia Slater, Zachariah Slater, Elizabeth Brownell, and Ford Hoffman; special sister in law Jackie Rivers; special Aunt Noreen Beringer. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins as well as her beloved cats Gemma and Onyx.

She was predeceased by her brother Tom Hoffman; brothers in law, Ray Taylor, Jr. and Jeff Duncan and her nephew Zachary Duncan.  A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 8, 2026, 10:00 a.m. at the Castleton Funeral Home, 59 Seaman Ave. Castleton-On-Hudson. Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Robin's family on Thursday evening from 4-7 p.m.. Interment will take place in Horizon View Cemetery following the service.
