Robert Taft

Taft, Robert C.

Castleton-Robert C. Taft on October 19, 2015 at Evergreen Commons at the age of 78. He was born on January 4, 1937 in Brattleboro, VT, the son of Robert and Frances Taft. Bob was a truck driver for ARCO, Atlantic Richfield and Sunoco. He also worked for Maple Hill High School.

He was a very gentle man, always thinking of others, especially his wife Barbara.

He is survived by his loving wife Barbara; Two children, Robert Taft III who is in the Coast Guard and a daughter Debbie Taft of FL; stepson, Christopher Dierberger (Elaine); four grandchildren; a sister, Susanne Duby of Chatham; and many nieces.

A Mass of Christian Burial wil be celebrated 10:00 am Friday October 23, 2015 at Sacred Heart Church, 3 Catholic Way, Castleton, NY. Relatives and Friends are invited and may attend his calling hours 4-7 pm Thursday October 22, 2015 at Ray Funeral Home, 59 Seaman Ave., Castleton.

Memorial contributions may be made in Bob’s name to Sacred Heart Church, 3 Catholic Way, Castleton, NY 12033 or the National Parkinson’s Foundation of Greater Rochester, 95 Skycrest Dr., Rochester, NY 14616.
