Dudley, Robert Stephen
Castleton, Robert Stephen Dudley, 57, born in Albany, December 21, 1959 entered into eternal life on September 10, 2017 after a courageous battle with bladder cancer.
Bob graduated from Maple Hill High School in Castleton and attended Hudson Valley Community College. He went on to work at NYS Dept. of Transportation for 20 years in the design bureau earning several awards for his work and became fondly known as the "Roundabout King."
Bob was a devoted partner to Patricia (Patti) Miller for 32 years and was a loving step dad to Jamie (Shannon) Miller and Paul Miller. He was also blessed with three beautiful grandchildren Max, Ryder and Molly Miller who lovingly referred to him as "Papa Choo Choo."
Bob was pre-deceased by his Father Robert. Also predeceased by his sister-in-law Gloria (Ronnie) Miller. He leaves behind his Mom, Mary Palmeri Dudley, Brother Perry and nephew Jason Dudley. Father in law and Mother in law Richard and Rose Leonard, Sister in laws Donna (Mike) Britt, Diane (Rick) Leonard, Chrissy(Chris) Peter and Lisa Leonard Cecala. Godfather to Ethan Wilkinson. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews who he just adored.
He was a proud participant in the "Warrior on Wheels" program with Ned Norton. He enjoyed fishing, going to all the soccer games, concerts with his dear friends, including the Culture Club Group, music, painting , photography and especially looked forward to the annual Fourth of July Parties wit our dear friends Tim and Karen Lederman enjoying clams and home brewed beers.
A special thank you to Dr. David Schaffer at Albany Oncology and all the special nurses at AMC for taking such wonderful care of Bob through these past few years. Thank you to the Hospice Team of nurses for their care of Bob in these last weeks.
Many heartfelt thanks go out to all of Bob's lifelong friends Nick, Terry, & Craig and also his many work colleagues as well as his many friends and the entire Stockman Family for all of their love and support.
A memorial service will be held on October 14th, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at the Emmanuel Reformed Church 1150 Maple Hill Rd., Castleton.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Castleton Ambulance, 1700 Brookview Rd., Castleton, NY 12033.
