Schodack Landing-Richard S. Radomski, 74, formerly of Newtown, CT died peacefully at home on Thursday February 15, 2018 after a long illness. Born in Bridgeport, CT, he was the son of the late Stanley and Helen Radomski. He was predeceased by his previous wife, Mary T. Gray. Richard was a graduate of the Fairfield Preparatory School in Norwalk, CT and Boston College where he earned a degree in economics. He was a Vietnam Era veteran serving as a Staff Sergeant Combat Medic at Brook Army Medical Hospital in Houston, TX. Richard had been a purchasing manager at Burndy Corporation for 7 years, acted as Subcontract Administrator for Abrams Battle Tank in CT, and also served as a purchasing agent for Bayer Corporation in Tarrytown, NY. Upon retirement, he returned to Hudson Valley Community College and received his certification in alcohol and substance abuse counseling. He was very active for many years in Al-Anon & Al-Ateen. A proud member of the NRA, he also belonged to the Watervliet Gun Club in Albany, the Forbes Rifle Club and the Kinderhook Sportman’s Club where he was an avid competitive rifle & skeet shooter.

Richard is survived by his wife Mary Anne Radomski; his two sons, Christopher P. Radomski and Stephen Radomski; his daughter, Mary Helen (David) Csiki, all of CA; his brother, Robert Radomski; his sister, Carol Denhup, both of CT; 2 step-sons;2 step-daughters; several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

His memorial servive will be held Wednesday February 21, 2018 at 11 am in the Reformed Church of Schodack at Muitzeskill 902 Schodack Landing Rd., Schodack Landing, NY. A reception for family and friends will follow the service in the church hall.
