Phyllis Ennis

Castleton- Phyllis M. (Gietz) Ennis, 95, a lifelong resident of Castleton passed away peacefully at Evergreen Commons Rehabilitation and Nursing Center on Sunday, October 13. She was born in Albany to the late Mabel (Maynard) and Jacob Gietz. Phyllis graduated from the Castleton Union School, retired from NYSUT, and was a proud family woman. She enjoyed traveling, her flower gardens, and being involved in the activities of her children.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Robert E. Ennis. She is survived by her children, Joann (John) Daly, Terry (Walter) DiPiano, Deborah (Ennis) Dickson, and Robert T. (Lisa) Ennis. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Phyllis' family on Saturday, October 19 from 9:00-11:00 a.m., at the Castleton Funeral Home, 59 Seaman Ave. Castleton, NY 12033. A funeral service will be conducted on Saturday at the funeral home, at 11:00 a.m. Interment will immediately follow the funeral service at Mountain View Cemetery, Scott Ave. Castleton, NY 12033.
