Patricia G. Eno

Patricia Gail (Sennett) Eno, 83, of Castleton, New York, passed peacefully into the presence of God on January 17, 2026. She was in her home, surrounded by people who loved her.

Patricia was born in Auburn, New York, in 1942 to Henry and Elsie (Misner) Sennett. A graduate of Auburn Central High School, she attended Auburn Community College and Albany State University, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in mathematics. After teaching math for several years, she then returned to Albany State, where she earned her master’s degree in library science. Pat spent the majority of her career as the head librarian at Columbia High School in East Greenbush, where she was instrumental in bringing automation to the district libraries.

While at Auburn Community College, Pat met her sweetheart and future husband, Carlton Eno of Cato, New York. They were married in 1964, and moved to East Greenbush, New York, eventually purchasing a home in the town of Schodack. In 1968, they welcomed their daughter Beth to the family, and their daughter Karen arrived in 1970.

As one might expect from a librarian, Pat was an avid reader. She could often be spotted in a cozy corner enjoying a book, but she also knew exactly what was going on in the rest of the room. Her extensive reading made her a fierce competitor at Jeopardy! Pat was also skilled at sewing, knitting, and crocheting, and loved to bless people with her beautiful handmade creations, from clothing and dish cloths to Christmas ornaments and afghans. As a longtime member of First United Methodist Church in East Greenbush, Pat also enjoyed using her crafting skills to minister to people in need, creating hats, shawls, and lap robes for patients in hospitals and nursing homes.

Patricia was preceded in death by her parents and her husband of nearly 60 years, and is survived by her daughters, Beth (Bruce) Simpson and Karen (Bradley) Murphey, sister Yvonne Kershaw, brother Robert (Marie) Sennett, niece Kristen Kershaw, and nephew Derek (Mia Gonzalez) Kershaw, along with many other beloved extended family members.

Pat’s family is grateful to the staff at NYOH, Albany Medical Center, and The Community Hospice for their care and compassion.

Calling hours will be Friday, January 23, 2026 at Castleton Funeral Home from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M.The funeral service will be Saturday, January 24, 2026 at Castleton Funeral Home at 11:00 A.M., followed by interment in Horizon View Cemetery.
