South Schodack- Melody A. Mesick, 70, of South Schodack, NY, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 8, 2025, after a courageous battle with Multiple Sclerosis.

Born in Albany, NY, Melody was a graduate of the College of Saint Rose, where she majored in fine art. Her creativity flourished beyond the canvas and into the heart of GEM Farms in South Schodack, where she dedicated herself to greenhouse cultivation and vegetable production. Her unwavering passion for growing flowers and produce was a testament to her resilience, guiding her through the most challenging stages of her illness.

Melody found her greatest joy in her family. She was a devoted mother to Sarah (Jeremy) Eveleth, Emily (Joseph) Davis, Samuel (Caitlyn) Mesick, and Jessica (Matthew) Rossman, and a proud grandmother to Aiden, Kayla, Maximus, Augustus, and Westley. She was predeceased by her parents, James P. Webb and Elsie E. Zimmer, as well as her sister, Ember Webb. Melody is survived by her siblings, Susan Webb, James Jr., Chris, and Mark Webb. She also leaves behind many beloved nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.

Melody's legacy is one of perseverance, creativity, and love for her family. She will be profoundly missed and forever cherished in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. Her family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to the dedicated caregivers at Ghent Rehabilitation and Nursing Center and Community Hospice for their kindness, compassion, and unwavering support throughout Melody's journey.

Services will be private, at the convenience of her family. In lieu of flowers, Melody's children invite you to honor her memory by supporting local farms and farmers' markets or by planting seeds to nurture new life this season.
