Heidi S. Griffin

Schodack Landing- Heidi Sue Griffin, 64, of Schodack Landing passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family, on Thursday, December 19, 2024. Born in Albany, she was the daughter of the late Jay and Caryl (Light) Momrow. Heidi was a graduate of Hudson Valley Community College, where she obtained her associates degree. She was a resident of Schodack Landing for the last 45 years and was employed by the New York State Department of Taxation and Finance for 33 years.

Heidi was an avid outdoors person, she enjoyed nature and all it had to offer except for the excessive summer heat. She was an accomplished archer and an avid fly fisher having even caught a salmon on her fly rod. During her quiet time at home she enjoyed playing Candy Crush. Above all else she will be remembered as loving mom and grandma, who spoiled her grandchildren endlessly.

She is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, Marc Griffin; her children, Amber (Devin) Fields and Phillip (Tiffany) Griffin. She considered her son-in-law and daughter-in-law her children as well. She is also survived by her uncle, Stephen Momrow; her aunt, Dawn Montavon; her niece, Jessica (Durvell) Smith and her beloved grandchildren, Scarlett and Griffin Fields and Harper and Collin Griffin. She was predeceased by her sister Becky Slater.

A funeral service will be held for Heidi at the Castleton Funeral Home, 59 Seaman Ave. Castleton on December 27, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Heidi's family prior to the service from 12:00-2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
