Castleton - Gerlinde E. Page, 79, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 16, 2025, at The Hospice Inn at St. Peter's Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.
Born on September 8, 1945, in Hettstedt, Germany, she was the daughter of the late Gertrude (Ibsch) and Hans Schabus.
Gerlinde previously worked as a payroll clerk for Mountainview Coach Lines in Coxsackie, NY. A woman of many interests and talents she was a member of the East Side Quilters and enjoyed quilting, especially during retreats with her sister Brigitte. She also enjoyed crocheting, horseback riding, and snowmobiling. She loved listening to music from the 60s and 70s, traveling to Aruba and on various short trips, and spending time with family, particularly during visits to Long Island. She also held a special place in her heart for her beloved cats.
In addition to her parents, Gerlinde was predeceased by her daughter, Gail Page.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Willard F. Page; her children, Raymond L. (Patricia) Juliano, Louis (Donna) Juliano, and Jennifer C. (Ron) Page; her cherished grandchildren, Katherine (Michael), Victoria (Brandon), Tricia (Aaron), Page, Linda, and Patrick (Miriam); great-grandchildren, Elias, Rowan, and Holden; and her loving sister, Brigitte (Kenneth) Caggiano.
Gerlinde will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 24, 2025, at the Church of St. Mary at Clinton Heights, 163 Columbia Turnpike Rensselaer, NY 12144. Interment will immediately follow the mass at Memory Gardens Cemetery, 983 Watervliet Shaker Rd. Albany, NY 12205. Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Gerlinde's family from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Monday, June 23, 2025, at the Castleton Funeral Home, 59 Seaman Ave. Castleton, NY 12033.
