Slingerlands-Frances Deitz Beerle , a resident of The Terrace at Beverwyck,Slingerlands, NY passed away peacefully on May 22,2016

She was born in Albany, NY, on 2/19/1924 to Frank and Ruth Deitz.

Graduated from Albany High School class of ’42.
Multiple office related postions throughout her life including several to support the war effort in WW2 and in between raising a family. Most recent employment at Columbia/Rensselaer/Greene BOCES as payroll Clerk 1971-79, and prior to that as a bus driver for special education children.

She is survived by daughters Linda Beerle Rauche (Henry) of Glenmont, NY, Sandra Beerle (Eric Flam)of Albuquerque, NM, and Brion Beerle of Anchorage, AK, grandmother of Maria and Henry Rauche III, Justin and Leala Baade. and 5 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her husband James Beerle of 62 years, sisters Virginia Kelly and Marylyn Schaffer. Formerly married to Lt. Jacob Bartl, B17 pilot KIA in Europe in April, 1945.

Enjoyed many activities throughout her long life including playing the organ, extensive travel, computer based creative arts, cooking, sewing, and most of all socializing with all of her friends at her summer cabin in Brant Lake, NY and her retirement home in New Port Richey, FL.

Celebration of life services will be held at Ray Funeral Home, 59 Seaman Ave., Castleton, NY from 1-2 pm on 25 May 2016 with lunch reception to follow at a place to be determined.
