KERRIGAN, Elizabeth Ann

Castleton-Elizabeth (Betty) died peacefully at her home with her family by her side. Born in Albany, NY, daughter of Helen and George Pfister, Betty met the love of her life, Edward Kerrigan, and built her life centered around her husband, five children and friends.

Betty had a great gentle spirit and a love for the baking, knitting and her pets. She enjoyed many years of camping, traveling and spending time with her grandchildren. One special legacy she left for each of her children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends is individualized knitted Christmas stockings. Betty enjoyed making afghans and Irish-knit sweaters. She will be greatly missed.

Betty is preceded in death by her sisters Meg Barr and Helen Harder.

Betty is survived by Edward Kerrigan, one son, Ed (Denise) Kerrigan, four daughters Pat VanBuren, Jean (Daniel) Wright, Kathy (Jim) Gerace, MaryBeth Pomykaj and her 10 grandchildren Jessica, Jennette, Emily, Megan, Adam, Erin, Becky, Alex, Hunter and Jack.

A Christian funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday June 25 at Sacred Heart Church, Castleton, NY.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to Columbia Greene Humane Society, Hudson, NY. Betty’s family would like to give a heart-felt thank you to Sacred Heart Church Health Ministry and Eucharistic Ministry and St. Peters Hospice for all of their care and support.
