Edward S. Seymour, 81, of McMurray, PA, died peacefully on Monday, September 29, 2014.

He was predeceased in 2003 by Jerri Seymour, his beloved wife of 47 years. He is survived by his son, Edward Michael Seymour of PA, his grandson Edward Steven Seymour of TX and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

Originally from Albany, he was the son of the late Edward F. Seymour and Alice Seymour. Predeceased by his brothers, Valden Seymour and Michael Seymour and his sister, Judy Peters.

He often referred to himself as a “dumb street guy” whose life changed when he enlisted in the US Army and was promoted to Sergeant. He later rose to become President and CEO of Kelly & Cohen, President of Forrest City Retail, until retiring 24 years ago as President and CEO of Pascal of Canada. He also served on the Board of Directors of various companies and organizations.

During his career, he travelled the world extensively. He always said “Family is Everything” and adored his wife and son. His passions included reading, gardening, gambling, smoking and drinking his coffee.

Funeral service from the Ray Funeral Home, Castleton, Sat. 10/4/14 at 9:30 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Fri. 10/3/14 from 5-7 p.m.
