Diane O. Timmers

Castleton- Diane O. Timmers, 86, passed away peacefully Sunday morning, October 12, 2025, at her home on River Road. Born in Schodack, NY, she was the daughter of the late Daniel and Rosa Self and wife of 50 years to the late John A. Timmers, Sr. She is survived by her son, John A. Timmers, Jr., of Castleton; her daughter, Toni Lee Timmers, of Eugene, OR.; her brother, Daniel Self, of Castleton; and many nieces and nephews. Diane was proud of her 30 plus years of service in many administrative and medical transcription roles at Albany Medical Center, where she worked until age 82. She was the accountant for her late husband's family business, Bert's Oil and Burner Service, and for J & J Lawn Service run by her late husband and son. She was a source of compassion and caring to the patients she served and to her co-workers, family and friends.

A memorial service will be held at the Castleton Funeral Home, 59 Seaman Avenue, Castleton, NY, on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at 2:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Melodies Center for Childhood Cancer and Blood Disorders at Albany Medical Center, or to a charity of one's choice.
