Southworth, Debra A.

East Greenbush-Debra A. Southworth, 65, died peacefully Saturday March 24, 2018 at St. Peter’s Hospital. Born in Albany, she was the daughter of the late George C. and Vera (Dixon) Southworth. She was also predeceased by her brothers G. Clifford Southworth, Jr. and Ralph W. Southworth.
Debra retired from the NYS Department of Health in 2007 after working in NYS government for twenty-five years. She was well-liked by those she worked with and made many friends in and outside work. She was a member of the Greenbush Reformed Church, where she had many dear friends as well. She enjoyed making crafts, displaying them at craft shows, and interacting with the shoppers and other crafters. She was a people-person and was a joy to be with. She loved and adored her family and was very close to all.
She is survived by her brother Dixon E. Southworth (Linore); sisters-in-law Alberta Southworth and DeEtta Southworth; nieces and nephews, G. Clifford Southworth III, Jeffrey Southworth, Nicholas Southworth, Corey S. McCarthy, Emily S. Allen, Rebecca Balak, Ralph W. Southworth, Jr.; and their families.
Calling hours will be 4-7 pm Tuesday April 3, 2018 at Ray Funeral Home 59 Seaman Ave., Castleton, NY. Her memorial service will take place at 10 am Wednesday April 4, 2018 in Emmanuel Reformed Church 1150 Maple Hill Rd., Castleton, NY.
