Valatie-Deborah Lea Garvansites, 59, formerly of Schenectady, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday September 6, 2015 at Barnwell Health Facility, Valatie.

She was born the daughter of Rev. Donna Young and Donald Prentiss. Debbie is the adoptive daughter of Julius Garvansites. She was an amazing woman full of life, light and mischief. She also kept our widespread family connected. She will be very much missed.

Survivors include her daughter Charissa Holcomb, her son Paul Prentiss; grandchildren, Amber and Adalia Holcomb; great grandchildren, Kyle and Kyilee Braxton; sisters, Lori Simpson, Kathy Downs, Pamela Ray; brother, Daniel Garvansites; two aunts; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister Vicki Arroyo.

There will be no funeral services. Cremation took place at Albany Rural Crematory.
