Castleton-Cora Bristo Ennis, 85, died Wednesday October 16, 2013 at Riverside Center for Rehabilitation & Nursing after a brief illness. She was the wife of 65 years to Earl B. Ennis who passed February 8, 2013. She was also predeceased by a brother, Earl Bristo, Jr. and a sister, Gladys Celetto. Cora is survived by her sons, David (Beth) Ennis, Dale (Linda) Ennis, and daughters, Debra (John) Pardi and Diane (Bill) Haggerty; 8 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; a sister, Josephine Johnson; and many nieces and nephews.
Cora was a longtime cook for the Schodack Central School District. She was also a member of Castleton VFW Post #7337 Ladies Auxiliary and a faithful member of the Women’s Guild at Emmanuel Reformed Church. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
Her memorial service will be 11:00 am Tuesday October 22, 2013 at Emmanuel Reformed Church, 1150 Maple Hill Rd., Castleton, NY. Inurnment will follow at the Gerald B. H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, 200 Duell Rd., Schuylerville, NY at 2:00 pm.
