Amillia Elizabeth-Bell Sanchez, 19, of Castleton passed away on September 9, 2026. Born in Albany, she was the daughter of Tiffany Darling and lived over half of her life in Castleton. Milly, as she was affectionately known, lived life to the fullest, had an infectious smile, and was a great friend to many. She was a graduate of Maple Hill High School where she was a member of the volleyball team. After graduating she earned her CNA at Evergreen Commons Nursing Home and went on to work for Riverside Nursing Home and the Teresian House. She held a simultaneous position at Support Link as a community habilitation specialist. She was very driven, goal-oriented, and was currently enrolled in the nursing program at Mildred Elley.
Along with her hard work ethic, she was known to be a social butterfly who enjoyed dancing, listening to music, shopping, and just being around her friends. She was passionate about every endeavor and met every obstacle with sternness and determination.
She is survived by her mother, Tiffany N. Darling; grandparents, Michelle and Celeste Kennie and Newton Darling; great grandmother, Ivy Darling; siblings, Mya Darling, Elijah Jackson, Jzah-len Williams, Nevaeh Darling-Williams, Royalty Darling, and Selassi Mann; aunts and uncles, Terrance Darling, Isiah Cherry, Xeavion Kennie, Jaqueline, Winston, and Carlton Darling. She is also survived by several great aunts, uncles and cousins.
Relatives and friends are invited to call at the Castleton Funeral Home, 59 Seaman Ave. Castleton, on Tuesday, September 15, from 4-7pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Milly's memory may be made to the Julio O. Wells Memorial Education Foundation, PO Box 921 Latham, NY 12110, in hopes of helping high school students pursue a career in nursing.
